The most appalling time in my life.

A poignant earthquake occurred to Sichuan province on 12 May. I've never thought of such a terrible disaster would happen. Facing the ruins, everyone was shocked. People from different places became a unity. The survivors began to rescue other people after a short rest. It was the first time I met an earthquake. So many houses became ruins, so many people lost their lives. And what about us? What could we do? I heard that a girl wanted to donate blood but she was in Chongqing. Then she drived to Chengdu all night and waited for the doctors. There were many examples. I was deeply moved. During that time I waited in front of TV, hoping they could find more survivors. I didn't know the meaning of life until the earthquake happened. How lucky we were! And I also hear that there was a mother cut off her legs with a saw all by herself to see her son. When the disaster came, all parents thought of their children firstly. A little girl under the ruins were still looking at her textbook.

It has been more than two months since the earthquake happened. It leaves us endless thinking. We are lucky. What can we do in the future? I think every responsible citizen know what do to and how to do! Thank you!
