把COSPLAY粗略来分类一下，最常见的是扮演ACG(anime、comic、game)中的角色；其次是扮演一些日本视觉系乐队的成员，目前人气较旺被cos的乐队是中世纪贵族风格的MM（悲剧与恶意）乐队；另外还有电影中的某些人物，比如哈里波特；最特别的要算一些另类COSPLAY了，从cos机器人，到汽车都有，一些名人cos也被视为另类，因为明显有恶搞的痕迹。从这里可以看出在定位上COSPLAY包含了相当广阔的发挥空间，甚至可以说只要是有COSPLAYER在的地方，这一领域便绝对就是当今青少年流行文化的主流。

说起来，COSPLAY可是历史悠久了。甚至可以追溯到古代的舞台扮演者。他们穿上特制的衣服，扮演神话中的人物，这点与现代的COSPLAY精神是相通的，不同的只是COSPLAY的场合和人物。现代动画COSPLAY发源地应属米老鼠的故乡――美国。50年代，在迪斯尼乐园里"米老鼠"装扮者才是现时代全世界COSPLAYER们的真正始祖。可以说正是将COSPLAY作为一种商业上的促销手段，COSPLAY其本身才可能得到长足的发展与认识。

??COSPLAY伴随着日本ACG业中GAME业的急速成熟以及视觉系乐团的层出不穷而开始步入正轨，成为一个极具规模的ACG业界的附属文化。日本ACG业界每每举办动漫画展游戏展，各个展位的漫画商或游戏产商都会雇佣一些展台小姐COSPLAY成自己公司的ACG角色，以吸引观众。以东京游戏展为例，漫展小姐总是会上必不可少一道风景线，甚至每年都会有杂志评选各种展会小姐奖。

说说对cos的理解：

Cosplay是指的角色扮演，现在出现的最多的cos是日漫中的人物，其实，cos还包括扮演游戏、小说、电影中等一些虚拟人物的扮演。这一领域便是当今青少年流行文化的主流。

我认为要扮演好cosplay不容易。首先就是服装、饰品要与人物相仿。其次就是表情、神态、动作和说话语气必须和人物一致。这样就会让外人第一眼看出扮演的人物。而我认为最重要的一点是：自己的精神要与人物相同。而现在所谓的cos，不仅仅停留在单纯的角色扮演的层面了，还可以通过改变固定的细节，来体现出自己的与众不同。但是，人物原本的大体形象却需要完整地保留。

当今社会中，光模仿人物是不能取得很大成就的。当自己已经是一位很熟练coser的时候，就可以设计属于自己的角色，在对其进行扮演。有很多人会认为，cos是有钱人玩的东西，而对于我们这些中学生来说，我们可以自己动手DIY制作服饰和饰品，虽然很费时间，但是这也是需要耐心的。
