作业是课堂教学的补充和延伸,是整个教学工作中必不可少的一部分,它是检查教师与学生之间教与学的纽带,也是帮助学生熟悉和掌握基础知识、基本技能和巩固已学知识的有效手段之一.小学英语教材在重视听说能力训练的同时,也加强了对读写能力的培养.因此怎样切实可行地布置好英语作业,已成为小学英语教师所要十分重视的问题.以下是我就所谈的几点看法:一、尽可能使作业设计贴近生活,让学生易于理解与接受.小学阶段所要学的英语,与日常生活紧密相关,例如水果、学习用品、家庭成员名称、家庭生活用品等等,都是生活中随处可见的.学完这些单词后,我布置他们将这些物品归类,可以先收集这些物品的图片或自己动手绘画,然后再画纸上一一写上英语标签.还可以让学生手工制作出这些物品,让后再贴上自己亲手书写的英语标签.将其布置成一个个美丽的小房间、小文具店、小家具店等等.由于这类作业富有趣味性,能够使学生在完成作业时注意力高度集中.因此可更好地帮助学生牢记单词,同时也能提高了学生的英语书写水平及审美能力.二、注重书写作业的同时,不要忽视学生的听说能力.现在在小学英语考试中,听力这一部分可以说是越来越灵活,难度也较以前有所加大.因此学生在这一方面的失分也越来越多了.所以这就要求教师在平时的英语教学中要多设计一些相关的题目来帮助学生提高自己的听说能力.布置录音作业就是一种十分有效的方法.在英语教学中,为了让学生能够牢固地掌握标准的语音语调,我们经常布置学生课后听读录音,但是如果我们只是一味地让学生单调机械地重复听读容易使学生产生厌倦心理,较难达到良好的学习效果.我们可以变换方式,让学生模仿课文朗读制作录音磁带,定期进行抽查或评比,那么他们就会不厌其烦地反复听读录音进行制作,以求达到最佳效果.此类作业不仅能使学生在潜移默化中形成英语的语感,而且也能培养学生的竞争意识.三、培养学生团结合作的精神,提高学习英语的能力.在英语学习中,小组之间的合作是十分重要的.如课本中的pairwork 和 groupwork就是一种合作式的学习任务.每次老师布置作业,无论数量多少,难易程度如何,无论多么重要的作业,总会有几个学生找借口拒绝完成或敷衍了事.特别是布置背诵作业的时候,遇到稍微长一点的文章,肯定会有一些学生背不过,或是一拖再拖.我们在埋怨学生的同时,也要反思一下自己.自己所布置的作业是不是太过枯燥了?如果换一种形式,变一下思路,把作业分组完成会是怎样呢?于是,我把学生分成四五人一组,每组选出一位小组长,由组长负责督促组员背诵,定时检查.如果有一人未过,其他组员就要一同受罚.这样做虽然说有些残酷,有些学生也会觉得很不公平.但这正也是检验组内成员是否团结合作的有力一击.我们都处在一个集体之中,都是集体的一员,光自己学习好了是远远不够的,能带动他人,善于帮助他人的同学才是真正的好同学.自己给集体拖后腿是件十分不光采的事,学生们的自尊心都很强,都不愿自己成为别人的累赘.也都想为自己组争光,这样它们就会十分积极的,用心的去完成老师布置的作业.当然,这种方法也可以用于其他形式的作业,比如听写单词、词组和句子等,效果也十分明显.四、注重学生平时的收集与积累,拓展他们的知识面.我在教学生学习英语的时候习惯让他们自己做笔记,笔记中记载两种内容:1.经过一段时间地学习,学生可以将自己所学到的一些知识进行归纳,重点难点,掌握得好的与掌握得不怎么样的全都记录下来,以利于自己今后地学习.2.随着英语的普及,越来越多的英语出现在我们周围,只要你仔细观察,就会发现英语就在我们的身边.各种英语的商标、广告、标牌随处可见.让学生自己收集并摘抄些与我们学习联系比较密切的英语,这对于学生来说是一件十分开心的事情.过一段时间可以组织大家一起交流交流.此类作业不但可以提高学生的兴趣,增长知识,还能培养学生良好的观察习惯和自觉地学习意识.。
